Curious about 3D printing? The Library Makerspace team invites you to a hands-on session where you’ll learn the basics of 3D design and printing while creating your very own custom keychain!  

This beginner-friendly workshop will guide you step-by-step through the entire process from digital design to preparing your creation for printing. No previous experience is required, and all materials will be provided. 

At this workshop, you will: 

  • Learn basic CAD skills – design your own keychain using simple, user-friendly software 

  • Explore creative design possibilities – customise shapes, text, and styles to make a keychain that’s truly yours 

  • Discover how to prepare a 3D model for printing – understand slicing software and how to position your design on the print bed 

  • See a 3D printer in action  – watch your design come to life layer by layer 

Take a break from your usual routine, get creative with digital fabrication and maybe spark a new hobby!
