ULPSU and the Library are inviting you to ‘Pause for Paws’.  Come and meet some Therapy Dogs from the My Canine Companion, dog charity. 

When: Thursday 3rd October 2024. PRE-BOOKING REQUIRED for a 15min timed ticket 

Where: Popular Reading Room, Ground floor - Glucksman Library

‘Pause for Paws’ encourages students to take a break from your studies, and to de-stress via animal therapy. 

My Canine Companion, a registered charity, will bring a small selection of therapy dogs to the Library for UL students to meet, whilst also raising awareness of how dogs can help to improve mental health, and reduce stress & anxiety. Research has shown that interacting with therapy dogs can improve students' moods, especially during stressful periods such as examinations.

The dogs (and their handlers) will be located inside the Popular Reading room, so if you are not a dog fan, don’t worry you won’t have to interact. In the event that the dogs get overstimulated or tired, the handlers may remove the dogs temporarily from the room, or ask us to end the event early.
