Embase is a European-oriented biomedical research and literature database with records from 1947 onwards on more than 22 million articles from more than 7,600 scientific journals in pharmacology and medicine, including about 2,000 journals not indexed in Medline. All articles are indexed in depth using Elsevier's Life Science thesaurus Embase Indexing and Emtree®
